What is it about the big Marshall amps that turns everyone on? Maybe it’s because the lows slug you in the chest hard enough to make your heart pump backwards. Or possibly because the highs and mids are right there, almost completely isolated from the lows. It seems like you’re playing through two different amps at the same time. Next comes the overdrive; each model has its own unique growl, and the sound is reliable and consistent from one gig to the next. Marshall cats don’t even want to play on any other amp. Man, they can’t play on another amp.
