Takamine GX 100

Who knew that Takamine made electric solid body axes? This Explorer copy is even more radical looking than the real thing. Leaner and lighter with a neck through body design, mahogany neck, great fret work and a nasty tone — they shouldn’t have stopped making them.

With the exception of the body shape, this screamer feels and sounds like a Gibson-SG. There still should be some of these axes in pawn shops but they are rare. They weren’t expensive guitars but they look and feel like high priced booty. The headstock is shaped like some sort of a bone. A tibia perhaps.

    I happen to have one of these Takamine GX-100TB its in excelent shape. If anyone is interested I believe its a 1984, I getting ready to put it on ebay.
